Growth Lab Team Charter

Fill in the panel below and the charter writes itself. Print or download it, then sign it in the room at the formation meeting. The charter is what turns four acceptances into a team: it puts the commitment in writing, in front of everyone, at the moment it is made.

Your entries save automatically in this browser. They are not stored on your Kajabi account, so use the same browser and device each time, and download the PDF when you finish.

Growth Lab Team Charter

Confidential · internal use for Scale at Speed course participants
Clause One

Purpose

The purpose of the Growth Lab Team is to design and implement the structural changes required to achieve the company’s three-year Scale at Speed targets.

The GLT operates as the strategic execution engine of the business. It works in parallel with daily operations, focusing on long-term scalability, resilience and multi-million growth.

Clause Two

Composition

The Growth Lab Team consists of five A-players, including the founder. Membership is by invitation only and requires a definitive commitment, two to three hours of protected strategic time each week, and ownership of one strategic task per quarter.

GLT membership is a structural role, not an honorary title.

Clause Three

The Unit of Equals

Inside the Growth Lab Team, hierarchy is paused. Job titles do not confer authority, decisions are driven by evidence rather than seniority, and the only currency is delivery.

All members operate as peers in service of the company’s long-term objectives.

Clause Four

The One Task Rule

Each member may own no more than one strategic task per quarter. Tasks must be clearly defined, carry measurable milestones, and move through Research, Prototype and Implement.

Diffusion of ownership is not permitted. Focus creates velocity.
Clause Five

The Protected Commitment

Each member commits to protecting two to three hours per week for strategic work: [when this time is protected].

This time is scheduled in advance, treated as immovable, and is not to be absorbed by operational activity. Strategic capacity is a structural requirement for scale.

Clause Six

The R–P–I Pulse

All initiatives follow the Research, Prototype, Implement cadence. Research is evidence gathering and analysis. Prototype is small-scale validation. Implement is structured rollout with measured impact.

No initiative progresses without evidence.
Clause Seven

Radical Transparency

The Growth Lab Team operates with full financial visibility relevant to achieving the Scale at Speed targets. Strategic decisions must be informed by revenue data, margin performance, cost structures and capacity constraints.

Scaling without financial transparency is unacceptable.
Clause Eight

Cadence and Calendar Lock

The Growth Lab Team commits to the following sessions, locked into calendars twelve months ahead at formation.
