The course

What do I get with Solo?

The whole self-paced course:

  • Twenty modules in six phases, on video and in writing.
  • Fifteen Growth Lab Team workshop packs, for running each working session with your leadership team.
  • Working tools built for the method, including a weighted pipeline calculator, an exit valuation calculator, a performance and values matrix, a meeting heartbeat planner, a risk register, a financial KPI dashboard and a QuickMap builder.
  • End-of-phase checklists, so you know when a phase is finished and the next one can start.
  • A worked example from Felix on working backwards through the Strategy Map from year three.
  • An orientation module, and Emergency Planning: The QuickMap®, a 90-day crisis strategy with its own Growth Lab Team session that you can run at any phase.
  • A certificate of completion.
  • Lifetime access, for as long as the course runs, with every update for twelve months.
  • Fourteen days to change your mind, no questions asked.

The full curriculum is on the course page.

Who is it for?

Founders of agencies, consultancies and service firms where growth still depends on one person. It also suits service-business CEOs who want to compound growth or build value for exit, scale-up founders between product-market fit and Series B, and second-generation owners who inherited a profitable business and want it growing again.

It is not for founders who have not yet decided to grow the business, or for anyone looking for a shortcut that does not involve doing the work. Pre-revenue start-ups will get more from the free Scorecard.

Who wrote the course, and who teaches it?

Inna Goncharenko wrote the course and presents most of its video lessons, working from Felix Velarde’s method, the 2Y3X programme and his book, Scale at Speed. The course also includes a worked example from Felix on working backwards through the Strategy Map from year three. The about page says more about both of them.

How much time does it take?

About three hours a week. At that pace, plan on eight to twelve weeks, but the pace is yours: you keep access for as long as we run the course.

Can I do it on my own?

You start on your own. In Module 4 you assemble a Growth Lab Team, and from then on the work is shared, because the aim is a business that does not depend on you.

What help do I get with Solo?

Solo is self-paced: there are no live sessions and no community. If something does not work, or part of the course is unclear, email hello@scaleatspeed.com. Live sessions and a private Slack community come with the Cohort and the Inner Circle.

Do I need to have read the book?

No. The course is self-contained. Reading Scale at Speed alongside the early modules deepens the context, but it is not a prerequisite.

Is it video or reading?

Both. The course is taught on video and in writing, so you can watch or read depending on the day you are having.

Is there a certificate?

Yes. When you complete the course you receive a certificate of completion showing your name, the course, the completion date and a unique serial number, which you can download as a PDF.

Can you promise results?

No. The method has worked for Felix and for many of the founders who have used it, but results depend on your market, your team, how you apply the method and things outside anyone’s control. The course is education. It is not financial, legal, tax or investment advice; for those, speak to a qualified professional.

The Cohort and the Inner Circle

What is the difference between the three tiers?

Solo is the self-paced course. The Cohort adds a six-week guided cohort run by senior consultants from the 2Y3X programme, with weekly group calls, peer review during the cohort and a private Slack community. The Inner Circle adds three things, all run by Felix: a 45-minute one-to-one kick-off call; a 90-minute group call for your Inner Circle cohort once a month for six months, built on the questions its members send in; and a second 45-minute one-to-one call after the six week cohort course. Both are capped at 20 per cohort.

When do the Cohort and the Inner Circle start, and how do I join?

The first intake of both starts on Monday 9 November 2026, and bookings for both close at 23:59 UK time on Sunday 8 November 2026. The checkout asks you to choose between this intake and the next. If you book after 23:59 UK time on Monday 2 November 2026, seven days before Day 1, this intake has no refund. Book the Cohort on the Cohort page and the Inner Circle on the Inner Circle page. Each is paid in full at checkout, and your place is confirmed at once.

How big are the groups?

Up to 20 in a Cohort group, and up to 20 in an Inner Circle cohort. Each group meets at the call time its members chose when they booked, and each time has one group of each tier. When a time has 20 bookings, the checkout offers a second time for that region in its place, so there are up to four of each. A group runs with six members or more. If fewer than six people choose your call time, we tell you by Wednesday 4 November 2026, and you choose one of three: a group at another time, if one runs, with the recording of every call; a place on the next intake; or a full refund. If no call time in your tier reaches six but two together do, we first offer everyone at both times one group at the time more of them chose, with the recording of every call; it runs if six or more of them take it.

When are the calls?

On Tuesdays, for 90 minutes on Zoom, for six weeks from Tuesday 10 November: 12:00 London time for UK and Europe groups (13:00 in Paris, 07:00 in New York) and 16:00 for Americas groups (11:00 in New York, 08:00 in San Francisco). When one of those times is full, the checkout offers 10:00 (11:00 in Paris, 05:00 in New York) or 18:00 (13:00 in New York, 10:00 in San Francisco) in its place. You choose your time when you book. Weekly group calls are run by a 2Y3X programme lead. Inner Circle members also have two one-to-one calls with Felix and a group call with him once a month for six months, the first in the week of Monday 23 November 2026.

Are the calls recorded?

Yes, every group call, so you can watch one you miss. We say so before each call and again at its start. If you would rather not be recorded on a group call, you cannot join it live, but you still get the recording. The Inner Circle’s one-to-one calls with Felix are recorded unless you ask us not to, and only you and our course team can watch those. Your group, its lead and our course team can watch the group call recordings. We delete them 90 days after the group’s last call; for the Inner Circle, 90 days after the cohort’s last monthly call with Felix.

Who can read the Slack channels?

In your group’s channel, the members of your group, its lead, Felix and our team; in the community’s shared channels, every member of the community. Viktor, the AI assistant that runs the community for us, reads the messages in the channels it is in, so that it can answer practical questions and keep things in order. It trains no AI model on them. The privacy notice has the detail.

What if I want someone to do it with us?

The Cohort and the Inner Circle add guidance from the 2Y3X team and from Felix. If you would rather have experienced consultants run the method alongside your team for two years, that is the managed 2Y3X programme. A small number of founders work with Felix one to one each year through felixvelarde.com.

Price, VAT and payment

How much does it cost?

Solo is £149 + VAT until 31 October 2026. That is the founding price. From 1 November 2026 it is £219 + VAT, and the founding price does not come back.

Solo is £219 + VAT.

The Cohort is £1,099 + VAT and the Inner Circle £2,999 + VAT, each paid in full at checkout.

The Cohort’s £1,099 + VAT is its founding price. It applies to places booked by 23:59 UK time on Sunday 8 November 2026, for the November or the February intake. From 9 November the Cohort goes up to £1,499 + VAT.

Prices in
Do the prices include VAT?

No. Every price on the academy excludes VAT. If your business is in the UK or the Isle of Man, the checkout adds VAT at 20 per cent and shows it before you pay. Businesses anywhere else pay no UK VAT and account for any tax due in their own country. If we have to charge any other tax, the checkout shows it before you pay.

Will I get a VAT invoice?

You get a receipt by email when you pay. If your business is in the UK or the Isle of Man, you also get a VAT invoice within thirty days after the day you pay, made out to the business name, address and VAT number you give us. If the checkout did not ask for them, email them to us. If you need a different kind of invoice, email us at hello@scaleatspeed.com.

Who can buy the course?

Businesses, for use in the business. At checkout you confirm that you are buying for the purposes of your trade, business or profession, and not as a consumer.

Can I pay in pounds or dollars?

Businesses in the UK and the Isle of Man pay in pounds. Everyone else can pay in pounds or US dollars: the academy shows prices in US dollars outside the UK and the Isle of Man, and the switch under How much does it cost? shows the other currency. Each checkout links the same offer in the other currency.

How do I pay?

By card, or by another method the checkout offers. Our payment processor processes your payment through our course platform, and we never see your full card details. You pay once, and nothing renews.

Access

When do I get access?

As soon as your payment goes through, and you can start the orientation and Phase 0 the same day. After that, log in at www.scaleatspeed.academy/login with the email address you used at checkout.

How long do I keep access?

For as long as we run the course: your access has no fixed end date. If we ever decide to close the course, we will email you at least ninety days before it closes, and give you a way to download the workbooks and templates that come with your tier before it does.

You get every update we publish in the twelve months after the day you buy.

Can my team use my login?

No. Each purchase includes one login, for one person, and it must not be shared. You run the workshop sessions with your team and can show them the workshop packs on screen, but not give them copies. Anyone else who wants their own login needs their own purchase.

You can give the documents you produce with the course, such as the GLT charter or job scorecards, to the people they are made for; the course terms set the limits. What your business writes in the workbooks, templates and tools is yours. The material around it stays ours.

What do I need to take the course?

An internet connection and an up-to-date web browser, such as Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox, on a computer, tablet or phone. The videos play in the browser, and the workbooks and templates download as files.

Some workshop tools save what you type in the browser you are using, not in your course account. Download the PDF at the end of each session to keep a copy.

I cannot log in. What should I do?

Use “Forgot your password?” on the log-in page. If that does not work, email hello@scaleatspeed.com and tell us the email address you used at checkout, so we can find your order.

Refunds and changes

What is the refund policy?

Solo: if the course is not for you, ask for a refund within fourteen days after the day you bought it and we will refund the whole fee, VAT included. You do not have to give a reason, and it applies whether or not you have started.

Email hello@scaleatspeed.com from the address you used at checkout if you can, or tell us which address that was. We will refund to the payment method you used within fourteen days after you ask, and charge nothing for it. Once we have refunded the whole fee, your permission to use the course ends and you delete what you downloaded.

The Cohort and the Inner Circle: a full refund if you ask within fourteen days after you pay and at least seven days before your kick-off, which for the Cohort is Day 1 of your intake. For the Inner Circle, if you book your kick-off for a time less than seven days away, the refund period ends when you book it. After that there is no refund, including for calls you miss, but you can move your place to the next intake once, on the same notice. The Cohort and Inner Circle pages give the detail.

Can I move up to the Cohort or the Inner Circle later?

Yes. If you move up within fourteen days after the day you bought Solo, we will refund what you paid for Solo once you have paid the full price for the new tier. If you bought Solo before that tier went on sale, you have fourteen days after the day it went on sale instead.

Your access to the course carries on without a break, and from then on the new tier’s rules apply, its refund rules included. Email us at hello@scaleatspeed.com to arrange it.

What if the course changes?

We update the course from time to time, and you get every update for twelve months after you buy. We may also change it to correct mistakes, to keep the material up to date, to follow a change in the law, or because our course platform changes in a way we do not control, but not in a way that reduces the main content of your tier unless we cannot avoid it.

Apart from the fourteen-day Solo refund, we do not refund any part of the fee if we change the course, remove part of it or close it.

Help

How do I contact you?

Email hello@scaleatspeed.com. We aim to reply within two working days. The contact page says what to include for log-in problems, refunds and invoices.

Who sells the course?

Do Your Bit Limited, which runs Scale at Speed. It is a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 08130003, VAT number GB 234 5413 28. The about page has the full details.

Where are the course terms?

At scaleatspeed.com/legal/course-terms. You accept them at checkout, before you pay. If this page and the terms ever say different things, the terms apply.

What do you do with my personal data?

We use it to provide the course, take payment, send receipts and course emails, and keep the records the law requires. Our course platform runs the course site and the checkout, our payment processor processes your payment, and our automation service copies each purchase into our own records. If you get our emails, or tick the box at checkout, we note in our mailing list that you bought the course. If you start getting our emails later, we may note it then. The privacy notice explains the rest, including your rights. Its section for Cohort and Inner Circle members covers the live calls and the Slack community.
